Interference from Very Small Aperture Terminals (VSATs) is one of the hardest types of interference to solve. Equipment quality and accuracy of the installation is paramount, yet difficult to achieve under all circumstances over the life time of operation. Antenna misalignment and faulty hardware may easily lead to both cross polarization or adjacent satellite interference (ASI). No wonder that VSAT networks are the cause of around 40% of all interference, something which is becoming easier thanks to new tools launching.
